Our Calvi ‘Salsa Verde’ is made with fresh parsley and peppers, with the addition of anchovies, garlic and olive oil.
Salsa Verde is a traditional sauce (translating literally as ‘green sauce’) from the Piedmont region – known as ‘bagnet verd’ in Piedmontese dialect: created to accompany meat based dishes such as bollito misto (a stew of boiled meats), however, it is a great versatile product and equally good with vegetables or on pasta.

Uses
Product ready to use and enjoy in a variety of ways in the kitchen: ideal to combine with boiled and grilled meats, cheese and bourguignonne. Alternatively, try it on pasta instead of the traditional pesto, or together with roasted vegetables, grilled fish or chicken; as a dipping sauce for breadsticks or crudités. It goes equally well with boiled eggs.
Storage instructions
Store in a cool dry place, away from heat sources. Once opened keep refrigerated (+4°C) and consume within 5 days.
