Sauce with Trombette Courgettes 180 g

The Calvi Sauce with Trombette Courgettes is a genuine Italian sauce to go with pasta or rice. Prepared with Italian tomatoes, trombette courgettes, peppers, onion, carrot, extra virgin olive oil, celery, sugar, salt, garlic and aromatic herbs.

Trombette courgettes are typical of Liguria. They owe their name to their form, being long and thin with a rounded end, similar to a trombetta (small trumpet). They are typically light green in colour with a delicate and sweet flavour, with a crunchier consistency and denser pulp than normal courgettes. The trombetta courgette is very versatile and used in a wide variety of dishes in Ligurian cuisine.

Uses
The Calvi Sauce with Trombette Courgettes combines all the traditions of Italy together with the taste of the Mediterrenean.
Warm the sauce lightly to bring out the flavour and add it directly to pasta al dente or try it together with rice.

Storage instructions
Store in a cool dry place, away from heat sources. Once opened keep refrigerated (+4°C) and consume within 3 days.
